Equine Canada Competitive Structure for 2013

    The Equine Canada sanctioned levels of competition are categorized as:

    • Bronze
    • Silver
    • Gold
    • Platinum
    For Alberta Eventing the Divisions that correspond to the sanctioned level are:
    • Bronze Level: Entry, PreTraining
    • Silver Level: Training
    • Gold Level: Preliminary, Intermediate
    • Platinum Level: FEI competitions (CCI's/CIC's)
    Equine Canada Sport License
    • License required is based on the level the rider is competing at.
      • Bronze
      • Silver
      • Gold
      • Platinum
    • If the rider is not the horse's owner, then the owner must also hold a Sport License appropriate to the level being entered
    • Licenses can be upgraded during the year
    • Upgrade Costs based on difference between the licensing levels
    Equine Canada Passport
    • As of 2008, Passports are required for Training level and above. See Equine Canada Passport page
    • Passports are not required for competition at Pre-Training and below in Alberta.

    IT IS ALWAYS UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL COMPETITOR TO ENSURE THAT THEY AND THEIR HORSE HAVE THE PROPER DOCUMENTATION BEFORE ENTERING AN EVENT.
