Qualifying Criteria for Alberta Championships

• Completed 2 Alberta competitions in current year at the level you plan to compete at in the Championships
• Exception - Intermediate Level: 2 qualifications in current year from any sanctioned event
• AEF and AHTA member
• Have NOT completed more than 2 competitions at a higher level than what you intend to enter
• Placed in the top 8 at a current year Alberta event at the level entered

AHTA Out of Province Competition Results and Travel Subsidy

The deadline for travel subsidies application is October 1st. Funding for subsidies varies and will be determined early in the new year. Competitors must be eligible to represent Alberta according to the AHTA policies guide. Travel subsides are considered for the following:
1. North American Young Rider championships
2. National of interprovincial championships
3. International competitions
4. Others considered on individual basis. Preliminary, Intermediate, Advanced or FEI competitors traveling out of province due to lack of provincial competition at that level.

Subsidies will not be awarded to competitors who attend out of province events that conflict with events offered in Alberta at their level of competition.
