Coaching

Looking to become a Licensed Coach in Alberta through the Equestrian Canada Coaching program?

Answer a few questions first:

Do you have an EC sport license? Yes or no
*an EC membership is required – can be any level.

With a membership, login to your EC account and click the “Coach status” tab. This will lead to resources to help obtain a coaching certificate.

Near the bottom of the page is a “Ecampus” link, here is “My Dashboard” which keeps track of all the online programs, reference letters, courses and paperwork needed to obtain a coaching status.  Here is link to EC’s Coaching Information: https://equestrian.ca/coaches-officials/coaches/coach-status-program/

Have you completed any Learn to Ride rider levels?

for Pony club and 4H members there are level equivalents. 

To become a licensed coach, Rider level 8 is required. These can be done privately or through public testing days.

If you already have Rider Level 8, a coaching evaluation is needed. There are public or private options available. Contact Karina  coaching@albertaequestrian.com for more info or to set up an evaluation day at your facility.
