The 2018 AHTA Young Prospects Program Evaluation is in the books…
On Thursday, August 16th we convened at Alhambra Stables here in Red Deer to hold our 3rd AHTA Young Prospects Program Evaluation. We spent the day looking at beautiful young horses and exposing those youngsters to the horse show atmosphere leading into the Devoucoux Alhambra Summer Event.
Kylie Strate with her own Supah Cool was hi-point 5 year old and scored a respectable 75.17. Supah Cool is by Supah Blitz (Mecke) and out of Cool All Over (Johannesburg), bred in Arizona.
Courtney Benton with her own MJ Samba was the hi-point 4 year old, with a score of MJ Samba is a CWB mare by Whirlwind II (Harlem) and out of MJ Last Dance bred by MJ Farms, Olds, Ab.
Courtenay Tuxhorn with her own BA Messenger was our hi-score New Prospect with a score of 65.22. BA Messenger is a 6 year old Thoroughbred by Jump Start (AP Indy) and out of Smart Kiss (Smart Strike).
We had the pleasure of meeting Wellington Romance, Laurie Powell’s 3 year old CSH filly by A Fine Romance and out of Laurie’s competition mare Wellington Wren. She was 3 year old hi-point and came out and got to see all the sights. She was a very good baby!
Would like to thank our very knowledgeable and competent evaluators; Caroline Petty, Darci Ecker-Popiel, and Lynda Ramsay.
