Clinics
***For all cross country clinics we require approved body protector vests that meet the currentEquestrian Canada Eventing rules, Article D114.2.They must meet or exceed, and be appropriately labelled ASTM approved standard F1937-04 (2017), BETA Level 3 body protector standard or European standard EN 13158-2018.***
The AHTA offers a variety of Eventing Clinics throughout the year geared towards all levels of riders and disciplines.
Clinics are first come, first serve, and to secure a spot payment MUST accompany the fully completed registration form and applicable waivers sent on or after the listed opening date.Clinic forms sent before the opening date will not be accepted. Please ensure the completion of the form with all waivers, membership numbers and information requested are received by the contact person.
***Clinic Cancellation Policy – Refunds will only be given, less a $25 administration fee, if a Doctor’s Note or Veterinary Certificate is provided, or if a replacement rider can be found.***

Anyone is welcome to come and watch AHTA Eventing Clinics Free of Charge! Come and see what it is all about!
E-Transfers no longer require a password and are now automatically accepted. Please include the clinic name & date, and also rider and horse name in the comments. Please send a separate e-transfer for each clinic you are registering for.

April 5/6, 2025 – Falling/Safe Landings Clinic at Phoenix Gymnastics in Edmonton. $215 for 2 days, $125 for Saturday only. Participants will be going over landings, falls and rolls varying from different heights and directions using various gymnastic equipment, teaching participants the skills and a smart way to fall in the unfortunate event of a rider falling from their horse. We will progressively introduce landing techniques, safety rolls and different skills working up to practicing with safety vests and helmets on day 2 (participants must bring their own). This knowledge can help the riders quickly assess their environment in an emergency, with the ultimate goal of coming off the horse with less severe to no injuries. All ages and physical abilities can be accommodated. Register Now! Closing date is March 28th!
May 24/25, 2025 – Becky Staden Clinic at Cochrane Ag Society, Cochrane. Cost is $225 which includes 2 group cross country lessons and stabling or haul in for the weekend. This clinic is suitable for all levels including those who are New To Eventing!Register now!
June 29/30, 2025 – Rebecca Howard (SJ & XC) & Lindsey Stroh (Dressage) Clinic at Alhambra Stables, Red Deer. Cost – Rebecca (2 lessons) & Lindsey (1 private) $400, Rebecca only (2 lessons) $300, Lindsey only (1 private) $110. Indoor/outdoor stabling & day stalls available. Please note – this clinic is not for beginners to Eventing. Riders must be able to gallop cross country safely/competently at the competition level chosen on the registration form. Register Now!
August 2/3, 2025 – Sabrina Glaser Clinic at Mind’s Eye Ranch, Morinville. Cost is $225 which includes 2 group cross country lessons and stabling or haul in for the weekend. This clinic is suitable for all levels including those who are New To Eventing! Register now!
August 22-24, 2025 – Mary D’Arcy Clinic at Alhambra Stables, Red Deer. (Joint HP & AHTA clinic). More information to come. Opening date will be April 15th!
October 4/5, 2025 – Equestrian Canada Eventing Course Design Clinic with Dylan Barry at Alhambra Stables, Red Deer. Cost is $375. This clinic can be use for Maintenance for Level 1 and 2 Eventing CDs, Fulfills application requirements for a new Level 1 Eventing CD, Promotion from Level 1 to Level 2 Eventing CD, Fulfills the requirement for Eventing TDs to complete a CD theory course. Coaches and riders – get inside the mind of a course designer and improve your coaching and riding. This course is open to everyone! Register Now! Closing date is September 1st!
