Coaching/Officials Funding
The AHTA is proud to offer financial support for coaches and officials in Alberta on a biannual basis.

What sort of things are applicable for coaching/officials funding?

-Courses or seminars/symposiums directly related to obtaining, supporting, or enhancing qualifications of coaching or officials education
-Accredited courses as prescribed by Equestrian Canada, USEA or FEI
-Annual fees to become or remain a registered/licensed coach or official (coaches must be Alberta based and actively be coaching at events in Alberta in the year applied for to be eligible)
-First Aid, NCCP and other courses required to be kept current by coaches

-Other courses attended – if deemed appropriate to obtain, support or enhance the qualifications of the individual as determined by the board

Applications for officials/coaching funding must be received by the AHTA President by May 31st or December 15th of the year the course was attended. Coaching/Officials Funding Application Form

Out Of Province Competition Subsidies

AHTA Out of Province Subsidies Policy
Competitors must be eligible to represent Alberta as outlined in the AHTA Policies Guide. Competition subsidies will be considered for the following:
1. Eventing Young Rider Championships
2. National or Interprovincial Championships
3. International competitions
4. Others considered on individual basis (e.g. EV100 Team selected to represent Alberta and sent out of the province). EV105, EV110, EV115 and/or EV120 Horse Trial or FEI competitors traveling out of province due to a lack of provincial competition.

***Subsidies will not be awarded to competitors who attend out-of-province events that conflict with events offered in Alberta at their level of competition.

Please note: Subsidies & funding may vary from year to year based on funding availability and will be determined in January/February of the year following application, or in the case of the May 31st coaching/officials deadline, in June/July of that year. Any funds awarded are at the discretion of the Board.
