News for everyone past, presently involved or interested in getting involved with this program, WE LISTENED and with the help of our hard working volunteers are working to improve and develop this program. There are new and improved components of the program this year and we can’t decide what we are more excited about! So in no particular order of importance, here are some of the things that we have made changes to or added this year.
Did you know?
– that you can now register online by going to the website and clicking on the Young Prospects Program button. It will lead you to the online registration and it is easy to do
-all of the information regarding the program is now in a handy and accessible Rules and Guidelines Handbook; also on the YPP link on the AHTA website. All of the documents you need to access are on the YPP link, including the flat ride tests for each category.
– this year the program continues to offer OTTB TIP awards. NEW this year they have added some cash awards!
If you have an off the track Thoroughbred that qualifies for the Young Prospects or New Prospects Evaluation (see criteria in the handbook) and you do not have a Thoroughbred Incentive Program number, get one! It’s FREE and it is a great way to support the program by tracking new careers of the OTTBโS.
-we have some new sponsors as well as the ongoing support of our dedicated and appreciated sponsors that have been with us since the program’s inception.
-new this year, we have a new scoring program that we look forward to implementing in hopes of making scoring and getting evaluation information out to everyone easier and faster than previous years.
